Anand Sreebala released in theatres on November 11, 2024. The film opened to poor reviews and went on to collect around Rs 1.54 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
The film draws inspiration from the real-life Mishel Shaji case, where the body of an 18-year-old CA student was discovered in the Kochi backwaters in 2017, just hours after her parents reported her missing. Anand Sreebala takes the investigation further, suggesting a possible resolution to the mystery.
