About This Akale Serial

Akale centers on the deep-seated rivalry and fractured bond between two estranged brothers, Prathapa Verma (Shiju Abdul Rasheed) and Shekar, whose contrasting families reside directly opposite each other. While Shekar leads a modest middle-class life, Prathapa Verma is an influential, wealthy politician dwelling in a palace-like mansion. Despite his towering status, Verma is a stern, emotionally detached patriarch who maintains a strained relationship with his daughter, Rithika (Deepika Aradhya)—often treating his domestic pets with more warmth than his own child. The narrative unfolds around Rithika's struggle to earn her father's affection, supported by Verma's loyal confidant Raju (Tanuj Menon), as dark secrets behind the brothers' past separation slowly come to light.
The dramatic tension escalates through the intersecting lives of the extended family, including Verma's sister Ambika, her son Deepak, and Shekar’s daughter Appu. When political conspiracies, status conflicts, and domestic machinations threaten the family's standing, hidden agendas begin to unravel across both households. Caught between persistent paternal coldness and emerging romantic and familial entanglements, Rithika and Raju must navigate shifting loyalties and societal betrayals, holding out hope that truth and forgiveness might bridge the bitter divide separating the Verma brothers.
