About This Durga Serial

Durga (the official Malayalam adaptation of Zee Bangla's hit series Jagaddhatri) follows the double life of its titular protagonist, Durga (Sandra Babu). To her conservative household, she appears to be a gentle, obedient, and timid young woman who quietly endures family mistreatment and domestic prejudice while working at an NGO. In reality, Durga is JD, a fearless and sharp-witted undercover special intelligence officer who takes down ruthless criminals, corrupt syndicates, and high-stakes national threats behind the scenes. The driving force behind her dangerous path is a personal quest: uncovering the deep-rooted conspiracy that falsely tarnished her mother's reputation and destroyed her family's dignity.
The plot kicks into high gear through her complicated dynamic with Kiran (Kaushik), who also works within the crime-fighting framework and eventually marries her under unexpected circumstances. While keeping her undercover identity strictly concealed from her in-laws and scheming household rivals like Poornima and Prithwi, Durga must balance the duties of a supportive daughter-in-law with life-or-death covert operations. Combining high-octane suspense with traditional domestic drama, the serial tracks Durga's razor-edge mission to shield her loved ones, hold her enemies accountable, and clear her family's name without letting her secret life unravel.
